Greetings -
I am a newbie that is trying to help a friend out by re-wiring the pins on an Icom IC-HM7 mic for use with a Kenwood radio. He gave me a Kenwood multi-function 8 pin mic (missing the model# of course) and said 'just make the Icom match the Kenwood.'

Both are 8 pin plugs & of course the Icom is only four wires. I normally do computers and pro-audio equipment. Soldering isn't a problem. Making sure I connect the correct wires to the correct pins so as not to release the magic smoke in his radio is!!

Thanks in advance for your patience in this matter!

Steve

Do you have the schematics on both radios? Here is the schematic for the ICOM IC-HM7 Microphone.
